Motor Recommendations¶
For L2 Certification (38mm J motors)¶
- AeroTech J350 (used for SIPSIK L2 flight)
- AeroTech J420R
For L1 Certification (38mm H motors, or 29mm with adapter)¶
- AeroTech H128W (used for SIPSIK L1 flight)
- AeroTech H100W
- AeroTech H180W
- AeroTech H210 Redline
- AeroTech H220T
- Cesaroni H180
Test Flights (29mm with adapter)¶
- AeroTech G80T (max non-HP motor)
- Various G motors with 29/38mm adapter
Certification Note
Apogee recommends single deployment with motor ejection for L1 certification for simplicity. SIPSIK used motor ejection for L1 and dual deployment (CATS Vega) for L2 — both successful.
